Prevalence and type II diabetes-associated factors in psoriatic arthritis

Queiro R, et al. - Herein, the experts sought to assess the prevalence of type II diabetes and diabetes-associated factors in patients having psoriatic arthritis (PsA). They reported that diabetes was more prevalent among PsA patients. Results suggested that diabetes was notably related to late-onset psoriasis and hypertension. The risk of diabetes ought to be evaluated carefully in subjects having PsA whose psoriasis begins after 40 years.
