Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology Jun 08, 2018

Marpaung C, et al. - Authors evaluated the prevalence of pain-related temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) among Indonesian children and adolescents. They also investigated which risk indicators were associated with it. Among the young Indonesian population, pain-related TMDs were common. Bruxism and oral habits, bodily pain complaints, and psychological factors were confirmed as risk indicators for pain?related TMDs. The socioeconomic status of parents, on the other hand, was not related to pain?related TMDs in either sample.
