Prevalence and confounders of chronic endometritis in premenopausal women with abnormal bleeding or reproductive failure
Reproductive BioMedicine Online Oct 16, 2017
Song D, et al. - This study investigated the prevalence and confounders of chronic endometritis in premenopausal women with abnormal bleeding or reproductive failure. In descending order of importance, the following significant factors were found to influence the prevalence in logistic regression analysis: clinical presentation, endometrial hyperplasia and stage of the cycle from which the specimen was obtained. Findings suggested that wide range of published prevalence of the condition may be explained by the confounding variables identified in this study and are recommended be considered in the analysis of prevalence data relating to chronic endometritis.
