Suda S, et al. - The prevalence of cortical superficial siderosis (cSS) in patients with acute stroke was examined. Furthermore, the authors investigated the relationship between cSS and different clinical and neuroimaging characteristics. They proposed that in intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), cSS was prevalent. It was independently correlated with lobar cerebral microbleeds (CMBs). However, they observed no associations between cSS and other risk factors or comorbidities.
