Prevalence and clinical characteristics of apparent therapy-resistant hypertension in patients with cardiovascular disease: A cross-sectional cohort study in secondary care

de Beus E, et al. - This trial contemplated the prevalence of apparent therapy-resistant hypertension (aTRH) in patients with clinical manifest cardiovascular disease (CVD). In addition, it examined the clinical features associated with aTRH in the study group. It was inferred that aTRH was prevalent in patients with clinical manifest CVD. It exhibited a correlation with the clinical factors known to be linked to increased vascular risk, and with lower estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
