Preterm birth and small-for-gestational age in singleton in vitro fertilization births using donor oocytes
American Journal of Epidemiology Mar 26, 2018
Boulet SL, et al. - Researchers compared preterm birth and fetal growth for liveborn singletons (24-42 week gestation) following donor vs autologous oocyte in vitro fertilization (IVF) using 2006-2015 US National Assisted Reproductive Technology Surveillance System data. Increased odds of preterm delivery were observed in association with the use of donor oocytes irrespective of embryo status. Odds of small-for-gestational-age were increased for donor vs autologous oocyte births among thawed embryo transfers only.
