Gunowa NO, et al. - This paper aimed to determine what research evidence existed in association with the detection of pressure injuries (PIs) in people with dark skin tones (DSTs). There appeared to be a paucity of guidance and evidence. The individuals with darker skin tones exhibited a greater tendency for developing higher stage pressure injuries, than Caucasian.
