Preoperative ultrasound prediction of essential landmarks for successful fetoscopic laser treatment of twin-twin transfusion syndrome
Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Jun 13, 2018
Miller JL, et al. - A standardized preoperative ultrasound approach was examined for its ability to identify critical landmarks for successful fetoscope for laser occlusion (FLOC) of twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). Researchers identified 50 consecutive FLOC surgeries that underwent 127 preoperative assessments. As per observations, preoperative ultrasound identification of placental cord insertion sites, lie of the donor twin, and size discordance in TTTS enables preoperative prediction of key landmarks for successful FLOC.
