Prenatal screening of fetal ventriculoarterial connections: benefits of 4D technique in fetal heart imaging
Cardiovascular Ultrasound Aug 18, 2017
Wang Y, et al. – Researchers intended to propose a new protocol of 4D volume analysis that identifies ventriculoarterial connections and evaluate its clinical utility in routine screenings. They offered a detailed protocol, which allowed the examiner to distinguish fetal ventriculoarterial connections by 4D volumes. Inclusion of blood information into the volumes improved diagnosis. The outcomes indicated that the incorporation of 4D spatiotemporal image correlation into routine screenings could improve the detection for transposition of the great arteries, tetralogy of Fallot, and truncus arteriosus.
