Kawano T, et al. – This study was performed to investigate whether prehospital sodium bicarbonate (SB) use could worsen long term survival with favorable neurological recovery among patients with out–of– hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Prehospital SB administration was correlated with worse survival rate and neurological outcomes to hospital discharge in OHCA patients.
