Pregnancy-associated hypertension and offspring cardiometabolic health
Obstetrics and Gynecology Feb 05, 2018
Rice MM, et al. - The authors aimed to assess whether pregnancy-associated hypertension (gestational hypertension and preeclampsia) was associated with the cardiometabolic health of young offspring. As per findings, pregnancy-associated hypertension in women who deliver at term was observed to be correlated with higher systolic blood pressure (BP) in the offspring. However, no relationship was revealed with the measures of diastolic BP, body mass index, waist circumference, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance, glucose, or lipids among these offspring.
