Pregabalin reduces opioid consumption and hyperalgesia but not pain intensity after laparoscopic donor nephrectomy
Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica Sep 01, 2017
Myhre M, et al. – Pregabalin was tested for opioid–sparing, analgesic and anti–hyperalgesic impact when administered perioperatively in laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy. Addition of perioperative pregabalin to multimodal analgesic regimen showed opioid–sparing effect but did not alter postoperative (0Â48 h) pain intensity score. Additionally, pregabalin showed potential for reducing incisional hyperalgesia on the first postoperative day.
