Predictors of right ventricular pacing and pacemaker dependence in transcatheter aortic valve replacement patients
Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology Jan 05, 2018
Sharma E, et al. - Researchers analyzed a post-transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) pacemaker population to know about the progression of cardiac conduction disease in these subjects and to identify predictors of post-TAVR right ventricular (RV) pacing dependence. They identified that RBBB, intra-procedural complete heart block, bifascicular block, and QRS duration > 120 ms were associated with RV pacing dependence at 30 days. They also observed that post-TAVR conduction disturbances may be acutely reversible in a significant proportion of patients receiving permanent pacemaker within 10–30 days of implant.
