Yang F, et al. – In this study, researchers appraised the risk predicting ability of ¹⁸F-fluorodeoxyglucose (¹⁸F–FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for adverse aortic events (AAE) in patients with acute Stanford type B intramural hematoma (IMH). According to findings, chances of developing AAE were more in those with ulcer-like projection (ULP) and high ¹⁸F–FDG uptake and these patients might deserve closer surveillance with serial imaging.
