Predictive value of lymphocyte to monocyte ratio and monocyte to high-density lipoprotein ratio for acute deep vein thrombosis after total joint arthroplasty: A retrospective study
Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research Aug 30, 2018
Zhu X, et al. - Researchers sought to find out the potential predictive value of lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR) and monocyte to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) ratio (MHR) for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). They noted that following TJA, perioperative LMR or MHR were significantly associated with DVT. Furthermore, to predict DVT accurately, the postoperative LMR had a potential. Findings suggested an independent association of BMI, female, preoperative MHR, postoperative Hb, and postoperative LMR with symptomatic DVT.
