Predictive value of CCND1/cyclin D1 alterations in the malignant transformation of potentially malignant head and neck disorders: Systematic review and meta-analysis
Head & Neck Jun 17, 2019
Ramos-García P, et al. - In potentially malignant disorders (PMDs) of the head and neck, researchers assessed published evidence on the predictive value of CCND1 amplification/cyclin D1 overexpression as malignant transformation risk markers. According to this systematic review and meta-analysis, the oral cavity subgroup exhibited the strongest link between CCND1/cyclin D1 amplification/overexpression and progression to cancer. In order to predict the risk of malignant transformation of head and neck PMDs, particularly oral PMDs, CCND1/cyclin D1 amplification/overexpression is important.
