Predictive prognostic value of tissue-based microrna expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Journal of Dental Research Jun 21, 2018
Troiano G, et al. - Experts conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the association between miRNA expression and survival of OSCC patients. They identified the studies by searching on MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. For overall survival and disease-free survival, the pooled hazard ratio values (95% confidence interval) related to different miRNA expression were 2.65 and 1.95, respectively. Prognosis of OSCC patients could be robustly predicted with the expression levels of specific miRNAs.
