Ko KJ, et al. - This trial comprised of an evaluation of the rates and predictive factors related to the development of de novo overactive bladder (OAB). Additionally, it contemplated the effects of de novo OAB on the surgical outcomes after artificial urinary sphincter (AUS). It was determined that de novo OAB was a common occurrence after AUS surgery. An adverse consequence was reported on the treatment success due to the presence of de novo OAB. The occurrence of de novo OAB after AUS implantation was speculated by low preoperative cystometric capacity of less than 300ml and pelvic irradiation
