Predictive factors for the long-term deterioration of pulmonary function in interstitial lung disease associated with anti-aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase antibodies
Respiration May 22, 2018
Yamakawa H, et al. - Authors clarified the factors predictive of progression in anti-aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase antibodies (ARS-ILD) based on patients’ initial clinical and radiological features. As per data, improvement or stability was noted in most patients with ARS-ILD receiving anti-inflammatory therapy in the first year. Nonetheless, despite the initial improvement, some patients worsened over the long-term course. Middle lobe traction bronchiectasis in ARS-ILD could be a useful predictor of poor long-term disease behaviour, even though the extent of the disease was limited.
