Predictive early recurrence factors of preoperative clinicophysiological findings in pancreatic cancer
European Surgical Research Nov 22, 2018
Suzuki S, et al. - Researchers aimed at assessing the predictive value of preoperative clinicophysiological parameters for early recurrence of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) after curative resection. They retrospectively examined a total of 260 patients who underwent pancreatic resection for PDAC between 2007 and 2015. As per outcomes, independent predictors of early recurrence comprised elevated carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (> 124.65 U/mL) and carcinoembryonic antigen (> 4.45 ng/mL).
