Prediction of visual field progression from OCT structural measures in moderate to advanced glaucoma

American Journal of Ophthalmology Feb 04, 2021

Nouri-Mahdavi K, Mohammadzadeh V, Rabiolo A, et al. - This prospective cohort study was undertaken to determine if visual field (VF) progression can be predicted from baseline and longitudinal optical coherence tomography structural measures. One hundred four eyes (104 patients) with ≥ 3 years of follow-up and ≥ 5 VF exams were registered. From baseline and longitudinal structural data, VF progression can be predicted with clinically relevant precision. Further refinement of the proposed models would help clinicians with timely predictions of progress in functional glaucoma and clinical decision-making.
