Prediction of vaginal birth after one ceasarean delivery for non-progressive labor
Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics Jan 28, 2018
Mizrachi Y, et al. - Researchers aimed at identifying factors that might predict successful vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) in patients operated for arrest of dilatation or descent at their first cesarean. They developed a predictive model, which incorporated four variables (previous successful VBAC, lower head station on decision at previous cesarean delivery, lower newborn weight at previous cesarean delivery and larger cervical effacement) available at hospital admission for the planned trials of labor after one cesarean (TOLAC). This model allowed the determination of likelihood of successful VBAC following one cesarean delivery for non-progressive labor.
