Prediction of large-for-gestational age infants in relation to hyperglycemia in pregnancy – A comparison of statistical models
Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice Jul 27, 2021
Gibbons KS, Chang AMZ, Sacks DA, et al. - Utilizing data from a large multi-centre cohort, researchers sought to develop a risk prediction model for large-for-gestational-age (LGA) infants, comparing the utility of logistic regression and naïve Bayes approaches. The authors compared the ability of two machine learning techniques to predict large-for-gestational-age (LGA) infants: logistic regression and naïve Bayes. Logistic regression can be used confidently to evaluate the link between clinical and biochemical variables and outcomes.
