Prediction of histological grade of endometrial cancer by means of MRI
European Journal of Radiology Apr 17, 2018
Bonatti M, et al. - This retrospective study examined the ability of MRI in speculating the histological grade of endometrial cancer (EC) among subjects who underwent preoperative MRI and surgery between Sept2011 and Nov2016. Deep myometrial invasion appeared to be considerably more frequent in G2-G3 lesions compared to the G1 ones. It was reported that a cut off value of 0,13 assisted in distinguishing G1 from G2-G3 lesions with 50% sensibility and 89% specificity. Data shed light on a prominent connection between neoplasm/uterus volume ratio (N/U) ratio >0.13 and deep myometrial invasion with high-grade EC. On the other hand, ADC values were not useful for predicting EC grade.
