Predicting the risk of post‐inflammatory hyperpigmentation: The Palmar Creases Pigmentation scale

Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Feb 07, 2021

Leal‐Silva H, et al. - In the present study, the researchers sought to validate the reliable use of a Palmar Creases Pigmentation (PCP) scale and its accuracy in anticipating the risk of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). A prospective, comparative, blinded study was performed via photo‐numeric analysis of 126 photographs of pairs of palms. Any physician may effectively use the PCP scale to predict hyperpigmentation risk.
