Predicting reactivity threshold in children with anaphylaxis to peanut
Clinical & Experimental Allergy Jan 06, 2018
Reier-Nilsen T, et al. - The possible association between clinical and/or immunological characteristics and reactivity threshold in children with anaphylaxis to peanut was investigated in this study. Furthermore, the link of these characteristics with the severity of the allergic reaction during oral food challenge (OFC) was also queried. Findings demonstrated the association of basophil activation, peanut skin prick test (SPT) and the ratio of peanut specific immunoglobulin E (s-IgE)/total Ig-E with reactivity threshold and lowest observed adverse events level, but not with allergy reaction severity, in children with anaphylaxis to peanut.
