Predicting intrauterine transfusion interval and perinatal outcomes in alloimmunized pregnancies: Time-to-event survival analysis
Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Jun 18, 2019
Snelgrove JW, et al. - Researchers investigated the factors that are associated with intrauterine transfusion (IUT) frequency and adverse pregnancy outcomes in transfused pregnancies. In this retrospective cohort analysis of 246 consecutive cases, risk of subsequent IUT was evaluated performing time-to-event survival analysis for repeated events. Outcomes suggest that alloimmunized pregnancies had increased IUT frequency in correlation to hydrops while higher adverse pregnancy outcomes were noted in correlation to lower gestational age at initial IUT. Lower IUT frequency was observed in correlation to higher transfused blood volumes, pre- and post-IUT hemoglobin.
