Dukanovic A, et al. - The researchers intended to determine the risk of stroke and analyzed the use of oral anticoagulants in atrial fibrillation (AF). Lowest and decreasing predicted stroke and bleeding risks were found, among the Danish AF patients receiving standard dose dabigatran during almost all study years. Patients receiving reduced dose apixaban demonstrated a rather stable predicted risk of stroke during the study period and the highest mean CHA2DS2-VASc score in 2016.
