Preadmission use of calcium channel blocking agents is associated with improved outcomes in patients with sepsis: A population-based propensity scoreâmatched cohort study

Lee CC, et al. – The goal of this national cohort study was to investigate if the use of calcium channel blockers is associated with a decreased risk of mortality in sepsis patients. Findings reported a 6% reduction in mortality in patients who received preadmission calcium channel blocker therapy before sepsis development, compared with patients who had never received calcium channel blockers.
