Page JM, et al. - The authors performed this study to determine the proportion of potentially preventable stillbirths in the United States. As per this analysis, almost one-fourth of stillbirths were potentially preventable. They observed the predominance of placental insufficiency among stillbirths. Thus the most immediate effect on stillbirth reduction could be observed with identification and management of placental insufficiency.
