Sumner JA, et al. - Herein, it was investigated for the first time how posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) onset was associated with inflammation-related biomarkers in women. PTSD onset (vs no trauma) was shown to be related to increases in one inflammation-related biomarker. Pre-PTSD-onset biomarkers predicted risk of subsequent PTSD was not strongly supported.
