Postoperative inflammation after endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation: Racial distribution and effect on outcomes
Journal of Glaucoma Mar 07, 2018
Edmiston AM, et al. - The prevalence of postoperative anterior chamber reaction or persistent anterior uveitis (PAU) by race and the impact on intraocular pressure (IOP) and visual acuity (VA) following combined phacoemulsification and endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) in primary open-angle glaucoma were determined. After combined phacoemulsification and ECP, PAU was noted to be common and was significantly associated with race. While prolonged post-operative treatment could be required by the PAU, poorer VA or IOP outcomes were not supported by the findings of this study.
