Leegwater NC, et al. - Researchers undertook this prospective, open-label, parallel, multicentre, randomized controlled, clinical trial to determine the efficacy of continuous-flow cryocompression therapy (CFCT) in the acute recovery phase after hip fracture surgery. They identified no evidence that suggested an added value of CFCT in the acute recovery phase after hip fracture surgery. Patients completing the CFCT treatment schedule indicated a mild analgesic effect at 72 h.
