Posterior hypospadias: Evaluation of a paradigm shift from single to staged repair
Journal of Pediatric Urology Sep 02, 2017
Badawy H, et al. – Goal of this work was to present results of posterior hypospadias repair shifting from single–stage repair to staged repair. The obtained data indicate that staged repair considerably enhanced complication rates of posterior hypospadias reconstruction compared to a single–stage repair using a pedicled island flap. More follow–up and continuous reporting of honest complication rates are required to enhance the outcome of this complex pathology and to help in choosing the best procedure.
