Positive surgical margins and biochemical recurrence following minimally-invasive radical prostatectomy â An analysis of outcomes from a UK tertiary referral centre
BMC Urology Oct 06, 2017
Sachdeva A, et al. - This investigation substantiated the biochemical recurrence (BCR) in men with positive surgical margins (PSM) following minimally-invasive radical prostatectomy (MIRP) in a UK tertiary centre. The patients with PSM did not translate into worse medium-term oncological outcomes in maximum cases, than those with negative surgical margins. High pre-operative Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and high Gleason group served as the only significant predictors of BCR.
