Positive end-expiratory pressure adjusted for intra-abdominal pressure: A pilot study

Regli A, et al. - Researchers assessed the safety of applying positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) adjusted for intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) in patients with intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH). Findings demonstrated that in ventilated patients with IAH, PEEP = 100% of IAP was not well-tolerated and only marginally improved oxygenation.
