Guan Z, et al. - Researchers investigated if a positive correlation exists between regional cerebral oxygenation (rScO₂) and mixed venous oxygen saturation (S_vO2). They examined a total of 56 consecutively enrolled subjects undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. In these subjects, they calculated the correlation between rScO₂ and S_vO2 during surgery. Findings demonstrated that rScO₂ and S_vO2 correlated positively during off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. Also, they observed a positive correlation in the variation trend between rScO₂ and S_vO2.
