Poor sleep quality in migraine and probable migraine: A population study
The Journal of Headache and Pain Jul 30, 2018
Song TJ, et al. - Individuals with probable migraine (PM) were compared with those with migraine in terms of poor sleep quality prevalence and its clinical impact. Using 2-stage cluster random sampling, researchers performed the survey for sleep and headache in Korean general population. Participants with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index >5 defined those having poor sleep quality. Participants with PM had the prevalence of poor sleep quality in association with exacerbation of PM symptoms. Proper evaluation and treatment for poor sleep quality are thus suggested in the management of PM.
