Poor prognosis of nucleophosmin overexpression in solid tumors: A meta-analysis
BMC Cancer Aug 24, 2018
Chen S, et al. - For this meta-analysis, researchers conducted a comprehensive literature search via the electronic databases PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases (up to October 2017) to assess the prognostic significance of nucleophosmin (NPM) in patients with solid tumors. The findings from the present study suggested that NPM might be a valuable prognostic biomarker, and targeting NPM might be a promising therapeutic approach for solid tumors. Higher expression of NPM was visibly associated with poor OS in solid tumor, and high expression was associated with some phenotypes of tumor aggressiveness.
