Fang J, et al. - Researchers examined how a healthy lifestyle during childhood influence the polygenic risk of obesity. From an established prospective puberty cohort, they analyzed a total of 997 children (418 boys and 579 girls) who had complete DNA genotyping and body mass index (BMI). They observed BMI increase by 0.11 kg/m2 among children carrying additional BMI susceptibility alleles, after adjusting gender, age and socio-economic status (SES).
