Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and the risk of kidney stones in US adults: An exposure-response analysis of NHANES 2007–2012
International Journal of General Medicine Jun 23, 2021
Sun S, Mao W, Tao S, et al. - In this study, the association between polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and the risk of kidney stones in the US population was explored. Researchers enrolled a total of 30,442 individuals (≥ 20 years) from the 2007– 2012 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The study enrolled nine urinary PAHs. The association between PAHs and the risk of kidney stones was assessed by using logistic regression and dose–response curves. In the US population, high levels of PAHs were positively correlated with the risk of kidney stones.
