Eom JS, et al. - Researchers retrospectively assessed the usefulness of pleurodesis using a mistletoe extract delivered via a spray catheter during semirigid pleuroscopy for symptomatic malignant pleural effusion (MPE), using the database of semirigid pleuroscopy. They found that as a management option for symptomatic MPE, pleurodesis with mistletoe extract delivered via a spray catheter during semirigid pleuroscopy displayed safety as well as effectiveness.
