Karhausen JA, et al. - This study postulated an association of post- on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) nadir platelet counts with stroke. Among study participants, an independent association was observed, between moderate to severe postoperative thrombocytopenia and postoperative stroke, and timing of stroke following CABG surgery.
