Tang J, et al. - Patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty (THA) were investigated for potential risk factors for deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Preoperative plasma plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) expression was identified as an independent risk factor for DVT in this patient population.
