Barry A, et al. - This study was performed to investigate whether plasma IL-8 signature correlated with pain and depressive symptomatology in patients with burning mouth syndrome (BMS). The authors demonstrated that in BMS, plasma IL-8 profiles were dysregulated. Thus, the modulation of IL-8 production in the disorder could be a tool in the management of BMS symptomatology.
