Physical performance and movement-evoked pain profiles in community-dwelling individuals at risk for knee osteoarthritis

Experimental Gerontology Sep 20, 2017

Cruz-Almeida Y, et al. - This study was performed to describe the variability in physical performance profiles and the pain evoked by their performance (i.e., movement-evoked pain). Findings suggested significant heterogeneity among individuals with knee OA in the community regarding physical performance and movement-evoked pain. There appeared significant differences in terms of physical performance and movement-evoked pain profiles in psychological and somatosensory function. Researchers suggested considering movement-evoked pain clinically in community-dwelling persons with knee OA.
