Zaqout M, et al. - This paper ascertained if children who underwent surgery for congenital heart disease (CHD) were as fit as their peers. Children attained appropriate physical fitness level, after surgery for CHD, particularly girls. Those with CHD did not appear to be at a greater total metabolic risk. Imparting lifestyle counselling on every patient interaction was recommended.
