Leskinen T, et al. - Researchers determined healthy and chronic disease-free life expectancy between ages 50 and 75 and across various levels of physical activity by sex and different occupational statuses. The increase in healthy and chronic disease-free years, resulting from higher levels of physical activity, was noted to be similar in both men and women but was more among persons with low than with high occupational status.
