Kalambo M, et al. - The sonographic and histopathologic features distinguishing benign from borderline and malignant phyllodes tumors were evaluated in this study. The authors found substantial overlap in the sonographic features of benign and borderline or malignant phyllodes tumors. For predicting biological behavior (including the likelihood of benign vs. borderline or malignant phyllodes tumors at the time of pathologic analysis), understanding of the clinical and sonographic features of phyllodes tumors could aid the radiologist.
