Susskind D, et al. - Researchers strived to examine the prognostic factors on the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with double duration for the treatment of exudative circumscribed choroidal haemangioma. It was deduced that PDT was a safe and effective therapeutic procedure for exudative circumscribed choroidal haemangioma, displaying few side effects. A more successful treatment was gained with regard to anatomical and functional results in cases with preexisting symptoms less than 12 months and in cases without pretherapeutic foveal cystoid changes.
